Cowpoke by Colter Wall needs two chords and a C harmonica. No capo, standard tuning. The tutorial builds the guitar side first: C and Am with the thumb-down-down-up strumming pattern, where your thumb plucks the fifth string on both chords. It is a 3/4 waltz rhythm, the same one, two, three feel as Piano Man. Then you play the progression at 95 BPM and sing the chord names while you play them so the order sticks.
The harmonica part is the riff on holes 5, 6 and 7. Colter Wall plays it two ways, and the tutorial combines both so you can switch between them. Then it is the Air Guitar drill: you mime the strumming pattern while playing the melody, so your hands learn the rhythm before the strings are allowed back in. Only then do both parts go together in the full play-along.
